Closer to a Cure: Bomberos Fundraiser a Success!

The October 4th Extinguish Cancer wine-tasting event at Bomberos Wine Bar was a huge success! Thank you to all our supporters to make this event happen. The vibe was full of love and support with people gathering together for a wonderful cause! A big thank you to Danielle Jacques and Carla Anderson, founders of Extinguish Cancer, for creating such a memorable event and including Embellish in the festivities. There were wonderful raffle prizes given out all night and a silent auction that was extremely successful in raising funds for the American Cancer Society. Embellish was proud to be a part of a such a wonderful cause. (Plus, it seems our dessert table was a hit---the delectable treats we put out quickly vanished!)

We had such a blast choosing the desserts to compliment the fire red/extinguisher motif: orange and red "flame" cookies, sassy red swirl cupcakes, sugar-dusted mini brownies, hand dipped chocolate pretzel rods rolled in red sugar crystals, and a selection of candy that guests could take home in red Chinese take-out boxes...red hot tamales, orange slices, and red licorice pinwheels.

Eat pizza for a cause! Extinguish Cancer Benefiting The American Cancer Society

What could be better than indulging in some pizza on a weeknight??? How about helping to stamp out cancer with each slice?? Sound too good to be true? Well, instead of turning on your oven to cook dinner, head down to Zpizza in Scottsdale on September 2nd and 3rd to get some tasty pizza and to be a part of dining for a cure.

Zpizza off of Thompson Peak and Hayden (Grey Hawk location) in Scottsdale is donating a portion of the evening's sales to the upcoming Extinguish Cancer fundraiser event benefiting DetermiNation athletes and ultimately, the American Cancer Society. DetermiNation Launch Party

The American Cancer Society is an organization that we have committed to being a part of this year. Supporting this cause is an issue dear to our my hearts as Jessica lost her father to cancer 3 years ago. Jessica has committed to join this prestigious group as a charity runner for the PF Chang's Half Marathon on January 17, 2010 in honor of her father, Cruz T. Martinez. Please follow our postings as we will have future charity events (a wine tasting & auction) to raise money for our group.
